Last February 15-17, 2023, BFAR-R2 Quarantine Officers at Tuguegarao City Domestic Airport participated a training on “Filipino Brand of Service Excellence,” organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT).

The nine-hour training was participated by Mr. Kevin Ramos, Mr. Mark Charlan Macarubbo, and Mr. Nielvin Cansejo, who were in charge of the inspection vis-a-vis verification of outgoing fish and fishery products at the said airport.

Ms. Gretchen Jallorina, resource speaker, capacitated the participants in a series of workshops encompassing topics such as service excellence; the 7M’s of Filipino Values; the Mabuhay and Salamat gestures; including the GUEST and HEART Technique when dealing with guest concerns.

The training was held in support of the DOT’s efforts to instill the Filipino brand of service excellence among airport and/or airline frontliners as a means of improving the delivery of tourism services particularly in Cagayan Valley.

Other participants included representatives from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the Department of Transportation, the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the DA-Bureau of Plant Industry, the Bureau of Animal Industry, Cebu Pacific, and WCC Aviation Company Inc.
