TUGUEGARAO CITY – Local fishers from this city and the neighboring town of Iguig received various post-harvest paraphernalia as part of the Bureau’s livelihood assistance to fisherfolk-beneficiaries who are engaged in fishing and fish trading which was handed over by Regional Director Angel B. Encarnacion during a Monday Convocation on April 3, 2023, at the regional office grounds.

Flordelyn Cortez, and brother Romel Cortez, ambulant fish vendors from barangay Minanga, Iguig, Cagayan, could not contain their happiness for being one of the recipients of fisheries projects from the government through the fisheries Bureau. “𝙉𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙩 𝙠𝙖𝙢𝙞 𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙞 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙣𝙖 𝙞𝙩𝙤, 𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙠𝙖𝙢𝙞 𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙖 𝙠𝙖𝙢𝙞 𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙖-𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙖 𝙞𝙩𝙤. Meantime, Leticia Dayag who lives in barangay Riverside, Tuguegaro City, and comes from a family of fishers expressed gratitude to the Bureau for giving out this kind of project.

The awarding activity was witnessed by City Agriculturist Evangeline Calubaquib, Ms. Gemma N. Libunao, Head of the Fisheries Post-Harvest and Marketing Section, Maricor Bañares, Fisheries Livelihood Development Technician of Tuguegarao and other DA-BFAR 2 staff. ###
