The DA-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 02 conducted its first Project Leaders Meeting for Calendar Year (CY) 2025, attended by project leaders and key personnel to discuss accomplishments, best practices, and future plans on January 6, 2025, at the MIS Hall, DA-BFAR RO2, Carig, Tuguegarao City.

This activity aimed to present the CY 2024 accomplishments of project leaders and showcase their effective practices in implementing their respective targets. Additionally, this initiative serves as a venue for sharing knowledge and best practices that contributed to the successful implementation of BFAR programs, projects, and activities.

In addition to acknowledging the past year’s accomplishments, the meeting also outlined and finalized the targets for CY 2025, aligning with the vision of the DA-Bureau to promote sustainable fisheries management and ensure food security for the community.

RD Angel B. Encarnacion expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all project leaders in achieving significant milestones in CY 2024. He also urged the project leaders and staff to remain dedicated and committed to meeting the 2025 targets.

The meeting concluded with an agreement from all participants to continue enhancing project implementation strategies to ensure that the region makes a significant contribution to the national goals of the Bureau.
