TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Regional Director Angel B. Encarnacion inspires immersion-students of Cataratan Integrated School, Allacapan, Cagayan in a Send-off Ceremony as 19 Technology Vocational and Livelihood students completed the 15-day immersion program at the DA-BFAR 2 on January 24, 2025.
In his message, Encarnacion emphasized the importance of good attitude than intelligence in the workplace. He also shared how he rose from being a fisheries graduate to who he is now at the helm of public service in the Philippine bureaucracy.
Deployed at the Integrated Fish Processing Laboratory, the students experienced actual work exposure and hands-on activities, wherein they were taught in food preparation using fish such how to make fish nuggets, Bangus deboning, marinating, fish smoking, bottling, value-adding and packaging finished products.
The Fisheries Bureau supports the Department of Education by accommodating immersion-students and make DA-BFAR a platform for elevating their learning curve in the technology vocational and livelihood tract.
Present in the activity were faculty members of the Cataratan Integrated School led by their principal Dr. Arlene Domingo; personnel from the Finance and Administrative Section headed by Dr. Emma L.
