STA. ANA, Cagayan – The Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 2 (DA-BFAR2) extended its full support for the launching of the Sta. Ana Agricultural Trading Center, aimed at boosting the income of local fisherfolk and farmers.
Representing Regional Director Dr. Angel Encarnacion, Executive Assistant Dr. Emma L. Ballad, delivered a message of support and commitment to ensuring the trading center’s success. She emphasized its importance in enhancing the livelihood of the community and supporting sustainable agricultural and fisheries practices.
The Local Government Unit of Sta. Ana will oversee the operations of the center, contributing to both the livelihood of local farmers and fisherfolk and the growth of the local economy.
In his closing remarks, Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Jovemar Castillo expressed the municipality’s plans to allocate space for the DA-BFAR2 satellite office. This reflects the ongoing partnership between DA-BFAR2 and the LGU in managing the region’s aquatic resources and ensuring continuous support for local development.
