








Cagayan State University recognized Dr. Melanie C. Villarao as one of the Most Distinguished Alumna of CSU–Aparri Campus during Dayaw ti CSU 2025, held on December 20, 2025 at the Claude Andrews Convention Center, CSU Andrews Campus and organized by the Federated Alumni Associations of CSU, Inc.
A proud alumna of CSU–Aparri Campus, Dr. Villarao currently serves as Senior Fishing Regulation Officer and National Stock Assessment Program (NSAP) Project Leader of the Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) Region II. In her role, she leads critical initiatives that support science-based fisheries stock assessment, evidence-driven policy formulation, and sustainable management of aquatic resources, contributing significantly to responsible fisheries governance in the region.
Dayaw ti CSU 2025 honored distinguished alumni from the different campuses of Cagayan State University, recognizing their excellence, leadership, and meaningful contributions across various fields, including government service, science, education, health, and community development. The awardees exemplify the values and competencies instilled by CSU and continue to bring pride to their respective campuses.
