The construction of the Municipal bangus Satellite hatchery in 2004 was pursuant to the Philippine Bangus development program, a national project of the DA-BFAR spearheaded by the National Integrated Fisheries Technology and Development Center (NIFTDC), based in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. Under the original arrangement, the Central Bangus hatachery (NIFTDC) is tasked to produced good quality egs to be supplied to the Municipal Bangus Hatcheries. The satellite hatchery on the other hand, is tasked to do thae hatching and rearing to last 18-21 days afater which the fry will be ready for dispersal. After a series of public hearings conducted by the Sangguniang Bayan of Claveria, the allocation for a site for the Municipal Bangus Hatchery at Taggat Sur, Claveria was made possible through Resolution No. 167, Series 2003 authorizing the Hon. Mayor Pablo N. Bolante, Jr. to donate an area of 9, 193 m2. It was later renamed on Multi High Value Species Hatchery (MHVSH) since it also caters production of high value species such as Sea Cucumber, Sea Urchin, Abalone, Lobster, Blue Crab, Red Frog Crab, Seaweeds (Porphyra)

  4. 10 compartments Larval Rearing Tank (10 tons capacity) - It can accommodate 2,000,000 eggs or 200,000 eggs/tank.
